When we say “any dog, any breed, any problem,” we mean it.

We specialize in being able to rehabilitate the most challenging dog behavior problems, as well as setting the foundation for success and preventing problem behaviors that most families struggle with.

In this program we address all forms of unwanted or unsafe problem behavior, including, but not limited to:

  • Human aggression

  • Leash reactivity

  • Territorial behaviors

  • Dog-to-dog aggression

  • Food and/or resource guarding

  • Anxiety / Separation anxiety

  • Fear based behaviors

  • Obedience training

  • Puppy training

  • Off leash obedience

Let the ‘heeling’ begin

Step One – The On Board Session

Our initial session is 1.5 to 2-hours, and consists of a consultation with you, assessment of your dog, and hands-on training with you and your dog. We will meet with you and your dog, conduct a detailed interview about your dog’s history and behavior, assess your dog’s behavior, and clarify your training goals. We will design a rehabilitation training plan to efficiently and effectively train and/or modify problem behavior, and most owners will start to see results after this first training session.

Step Two – Private Training Sessions

After the On Board Training Session, we will work with you and your dog privately in approximately 60-minute training sessions held either in your home or in real-world settings. We offer single-session rates or discounted rates for 3-, 5- or 7-sessions.

Any dog can be trained.

We are looking for experienced balanced trainers in the San Francisco Bay Area. Primary market would be the East Bay, San Francisco, and the Peninsula.

We are looking for:

  • 2-3 trainers in the East Bay
  • 2-3 trainer in SF / the Peninsula

Both Board & Train and In Home Trainers

A LITTLE ABOUT US: Koru K9 has experienced incredible growth and there is no end to that in sight. We have an absolutely amazing team of trainers that all work beautifully together. Our company covers the SF Bay and Denver Metro area with a specialty in aggressive behavior modification. We are not ones to sit idle, we are constantly looking for ways to grow and develop what we do. We work hard, and play harder. We insist that you take time off and take vacations.

A LITTLE ABOUT YOU: We are seeking an experienced, balanced trainer. Ideal person would not only have experience with aggression cases, but also work their own dog(s) in some capacity. If you have a set up to take Board and Train clients, that would be ideal (though we have specific requirements for our B&T set up, so it would have to be cleared first). NO EGO. I mean it. We do what we do because we love helping dogs and their owners, it’s about them, not us. You must play nicely with others, and must have good communication and organization skills. We are actively seeking graduates of TRS and Tarheel Canine (or schools along those lines).

A LITTLE ABOUT THE GIG: You’ll be busy if you want to be. For private in home — plan for at least 10-20 new clients per month, largely based on your availability. If you are taking Board and Train clients, then we will talk about the number of dogs you can take. We keep it small so you can focus on plenty of training for the client dogs. All trainers are ICs — you set your own schedule. It’s a pretty sweet gig where you are going to focus on the clients and we take care of the rest. You will need a reliable car as you will be driving to clients. You will work WITH us, not for us.

Our trainers make 60-70% of total training packages sold, depending on experience. With the goal to get trainers being paid 70% as quickly as possible, so you are paid well for your hard work.
