Of course they are — and we will help you get the coveted AKC STAR Puppy Title! Are you a first time puppy owner or did you just bring a new puppy home? Then this is the program for you! Our in home puppy training program is designed to help you set your home environment up for success. Creating rules, structure, and boundaries early on so that your new puppy understands the house rules. We work with owners to help them establish a relationship built on mutual trust and respect through leadership and advocacy for their puppy. Discuss PROPER socialization and navigating what socialization means for your dog. Remember, dogs are not all the same, and your approach to training should not be either.
Our Puppy Training starts with our first (approximate) 2-hour On Board Training Session. It’s in this session we sit down with you to discuss your short- and long-term goals for your dog, as well as any challenges that you may be having. We dive in and start training in that session right away! While every session will be different based on your dog and your unique needs. We typically start with the home environment, your relationship, and then tackle obedience and manners.
Should you decide you would like to continue working with us after that session, we recommend our clients purchase a package (4- or 6-session packages are offered). Once we get on top of any challenges you may be having, then the rest of the sessions are structured around the AKC STAR Puppy Title! At the end of your 6 sessions, our trainer can administer the AKC STAR Puppy Test!
