We couldn’t be happier with the training our grand dog, Amos, received with Alanna. Amos was an anxious and unpredictable 7-year-old pit bull when he began his training and returned a confident and calmer dog. Since we are not his primary caretakers, we were a bit anxious to care for him without our daughter present. After 4 weeks with Alanna, he was able to sooth himself when alone and was also very responsive to the sit/down/heel/ and place commands, which were the focus of his training. Alanna kept us informed of his progress during the training period and gave us an extensive review of the training techniques and commands when he was returned, including very helpful videos.
Alanna is very easy to work with, and is responsive to any questions we have. Her explanations of the reasons for Amos’ undesirable behaviors and how to modify them have really helped us understand how to work with him. We have a better understanding of how to make him feel safe and he is a much happier dog!
