Ready for real training?

Whether we’re your first choice or a last resort, Koru K9 will ensure that your canine companion is the perfect addition to your pack.

My dog, Loki, a Husky mix, had all sorts of anxiety issues with people and anything outside of my house. I tried a dog training course which didn’t help so I found someone to come to my house for a few sessions. That didn’t help either. To make matters worse, Loki was starting to get a little nippy around new people so I found Koru as a last resort for Loki.

Heather Dodson was my trainer. I chose her for her background in psychology and extensive resume. I definitely chose the right person for Loki. He stayed with Heather for 4 weeks. During that time I got emails and videos to show Loki’s progress. A few times, I spoke with Heather over the phone when she had a question about Loki or if I didn’t understand a piece of the training. We always had very good communication. It was always 2 way communication with Heather listening to my concerns.

They say the proof is in the pudding. Well, when Loki was returned to me he was a completely new dog. He was still his goofy, derpy self, but now he wasn’t as anxious or scared of everything allowing him the chance to be a dog and not a scared mess. I can now easily take him for walks without worrying that he’s going to bite someone, bark at dogs or try to attack a car. I can have guests come into my house and not worry he’ll bite them. He’s an absolutely wonderful dog that was hiding under all of those fears. Heather helped bring the real Loki into the foreground.
