Reactive Rhodesian Ridgeback Rehabilitation…say that ten times fast!

Check out Juma walking together with his sibling! A few weeks ago, Juma’s mom was unable to walk these two together due to Juma’s reactivity on leash. Juma’s reactivity toward other dogs while on leash was a manifestation of his underlying fear. He had a tendency to avoid other dogs and, if he couldn’t, would then react. He had gotten to the point where it was difficult even getting him to go outside.

His mom’s ultimate goal for him was to be able to walk him together with her other Ridgeback (which she wasn’t able to do before), get Juma more comfortable and be able to take him to the beach off leash. As you can see here, Juma is well on his way to meeting those goals!
