Our puppy programs are designed to start your puppy off on the right paw. Training should begin the moment your puppy comes home, and our programs establish effective communication, boundaries, and structure from day one. Through a balanced and holistic approach, we shape behavior, build confidence, and support healthy development—without rushing or overwhelming your puppy.
Your puppy will be immersed in a trainer-guided environment that reinforces calm behavior, confidence building, and early obedience. We focus on real-world skills, not just commands, so your puppy learns how to live successfully with you: in your home, on walks, and in everyday life.
Every puppy program includes access to LunaDogAI, (starting January 2026) our trainer-built digital support system. It’s like having a trainer in your pocket between sessions, helping you protect the foundation you’re building.
This program is for puppies 16 weeks to under 6 months. If your dog is over 6 months or has existing behavior issues, please see our standard dog training programs (In-Home Training, Board & Train, or Hybrid Training).
The goal: a solid foundation of structure, communication, and early obedience that sets your puppy up for a lifetime of good habits and confident behavior.
At Koru K9, our puppy training programs are built on a highly personalized approach. Behaviors like housebreaking, loose-leash walking, and foundational obedience require time, patience, and consistency. Our trainers work with you to shape these essential skills, setting clear expectations based on your puppy’s age and temperament. We’ll guide you through a combination of state of mind training, core obedience, and real-world manners, ensuring a calm and confident start for your puppy’s life.

The ideal time to begin puppy training is as soon as your new puppy comes home, typically between 10 to 12 weeks of age. This critical early period is known as the socialization window, and it’s when puppies are most receptive to learning and forming positive associations. At Koru K9, we believe in starting early to build a strong foundation in core obedience, socialization, and housebreaking that will last a lifetime. Don’t wait until behavioral issues start—proactive training is the key to a happy, well-behaved dog.
