Hybrid Training

Our Hybrid Dog Training Programs are our favorite, and most effective way, to train both you and your dog. These dog training programs are effective combinations of our in-home dog training and our boarding and training programs. It’s truly the best of both worlds and designed to fit any dog training goal or behavior. It gives our dog trainers the opportunity to work with your dog, and then work with you once the Board and Train program is completed. These additional follow up dog training lessons are designed to show you, in stages and steps, how to incorporate what we’ve taught your dog into your life. Hybrid training is our favorite option and our most recommended service!

How it works:

Step 1: The Board & Train

Our Board and Train program is truly unique and unlike any other program out there. There are no kennels full of dogs sitting around waiting to train. Your dog will be one of 2 – 5 dogs living with one of our board and train trainers. We keep the program very small to ensure that your dog receives plenty of training, attention, play, and fun time. Just like with our in-home training, your dog will be trained in our trainer’s home and real-world locations — not a sterile kennel facility like most board and train programs.* Check out more information on our dog Board & Train program here.

Step Two: Private Lessons

At the time of drop off, we begin with our approximate 2-hour Go-Home lesson. Now that your dog has spent a few weeks with us, it’s time for you to begin your dog training journey. This part of the program is very much about training the humans. These programs come with the approximate 2-hour Go Home lesson, and additional 1-hour lessons.

In this program we address all forms of unwanted or unsafe dog behavior, including, but not limited to:

• Human Aggression / Barking at People
• Leash Reactivity
• Territorial Behaviors
• Dog-to-Dog Aggression
• Food and/or Resource Guarding
• Anxiety / Separation Anxiety
• Fear Based Behaviors
• Obedience Training
• Puppy Training
• Off Leash Obedience

Behaviors and commands your dog may learn (every dog is unique, and dog training programs and goals are customized based on the needs of your dog) :

• Heeling on leash (eliminate pulling, barking)
• Sit
• Down
• Coming when called / Recall
• Place
• Environmental exposure / Field Trips
• Free / Release From Position
• Out (drop it)
• Crate training
• Meal time etiquette
• Threshold / Doorway etiquette
