Private Dog Training At Your Home

For dogs that struggle at home, on walks, or in everyday life—this is where real training begins.

If your dog listens inside but falls apart outside…
If walks feel stressful…
If your home doesn’t feel calm anymore…

Don’t give up – we can absolutely help you and your dog.

At Koru K9, we offer private, in-home dog training in Seattle designed to create real, lasting behavior change—right where it matters most.

What we help with: We work with dogs of all ages, breeds, and behavior challenges, including:

  • Leash pulling and lack of control on walks
  • Reactivity toward dogs, people, or surroundings
  • Anxiety and stress-based behaviors
  • Jumping, barking, and poor manners at home
  • Ignoring commands outside or around distractions
  • Overstimulation in busy environments

Whether your dog is mildly frustrating or completely overwhelming, we meet you where you are—and build from there.

A Different Approach to Dog Training

At Koru K9, our training is slower by design and deeper in impact. We don’t rely on shortcuts or surface-level fixes. We focus on:

Clear Communication: Your dog learns what’s expected—not just what to avoid.

Structure & Consistency: We build routines that create calm, clarity, and confidence.

Real World Training: We train in the environments where behavior actually happens.

Relationship Based Training: Our balanced approach builds trust, accountability, and reliability.

We train YOU to train your dog

This is what makes in-home training so effective.

You’ll learn:

  • how to communicate clearly with your dog
  • how to handle real-world situations
  • how to create structure your dog understands
  • how to prevent issues before they escalate

Because real results don’t come from sessions alone—they come from what you do when we aren’t there with you.

Custom dog training programs

No two dogs, or households are the same. Your dog’s in home training program is built around: your dog’s behavior, your home environment, and training goals.

We don’t force your dog into a system. We build a system around your dog.

Our dog training programs are slower by design, deeper in impact, and focused on helping dogs and owners succeed together—no matter what you’ve tried before.

We’ve helped thousands of Seattle Area dog parents restore peace, structure, and joy to their homes through expert at home dog training. Let us help you do the same.

Dog Training Support That Lasts Beyond the Sessions

Training doesn’t end when the appointment does—and neither does your support. Every Koru K9 program includes 1–12 months of LunaDogAI, our trainer-built digital guidance system. You’ll have access to step-by-step help, video feedback, and real-time answers during the moments when behavior actually happens at home.

It’s like having your trainer in your pocket—so progress doesn’t stall, confusion doesn’t spiral into setbacks, and your investment is protected long after the final session.

When Nothing Else Worked, Koru K9 Did

Let the ‘heeling’ begin.

Step One – The Onboard Session

Our initial session is 1.5 to 2-hours, and consists of a consultation with you, assessment of your dog, and hands-on training with you and your dog. We will meet with you and your dog, conduct a detailed interview about your dog’s history and behavior, assess your dog’s behavior, and clarify your training goals. We will design a rehabilitation training plan to efficiently and effectively train and/or modify problem behavior, and most owners will start to see results after this first training session.

Step Two – Private Training Sessions

After the Onboard Training Session, we will work with you and your dog privately in approximately 60-minute training sessions held either in your home or in real-world settings. We offer single-session rates or discounted rates for 3-, 5- or 7-sessions.

Koru K9 Dog Training Programs:
Transformation at the Speed of Dog

Ever wonder why quick-turn programs don’t work? It’s because they use forced compliance, creating unreliable behaviors that often lead to regression.

Our programs are different: we build trust, clarity and real-world readiness at a pace that respects your dog’s needs.

We use a balanced, relationship-first approach that blends:

  • Clear communication
  • Structure and accountability
  • The right mix of guidance, reinforcement, and tools

This means we:

  • Identify what your dog finds rewarding and meaningful
  • Establish strong foundational obedience
  • Use appropriate training methods to reinforce behavior in a way that builds trust

The result is lasting behavior change rooted in connection, consistency, and communication your dog can trust and understand.

This is where better behavior begins. Fill out the form to start your dog’s transformation.
