I found Koru through my parents who had put their puppy through a board and train program many years ago. I booked my 14 month old golden named Wanda for a 4-week session and was paired with Aolanis. Now, after having Wanda home for a few weeks and going through our drills on walks, her behavioral difference is night and day. I’m able to walk both my senior dog and Wanda without issue. We can hang out in the coffee shop and she doesn’t get anxious. She’s making fantastic strides and far more calm and less excitable when approached by strangers who want to meet her. I can put her in a crate without protest if I need some time for work or running errands.
In addition to seeing results, my experience during the board and train was tranquil. I received regular video and email updates throughout the week, and it felt less like a stranger was watching my dog and more like a knowledgeable friend. Aolanis is very nice, and she made herself available over text as well if I had any questions or wanted to check-in, but I never needed to because my mind was at ease. I can’t recommend her enough and if you live in Southern California, absolutely inquire about her availability if possible. Wanda was over the moon to see her again for our follow-up training session and they clearly built a bond during their time together.
