Madison grew up with dogs, but it wasn’t until she adopted her first as an adult that she truly understood the challenges—and rewards—of training. After exploring different approaches, she discovered balanced training, which significantly improved her ability to communicate with her dog and deepened their bond. In 2017, Madison began a Master’s in Ecology, focusing on how environmental changes impact California sea lions. After completing her degree in 2020, she teamed up with the trainer who helped her find such a fulfilling training experience a few years prior, expanding her knowledge of dog behavior through hands-on experience, seminars, and client collaboration. Madison has merged her passions for dog training and ecology by training her own dogs in conservation detection. With client dogs, she uses the knowledge gained from her working dogs to help people build more meaningful, active relationships with their dogs.
