Grants Pass Dog Board & Train
Home-based training for Grants Pass dogs and the people who love them. From everyday manners to reactivity, fear and aggression, we build a plan around your dog's needs, with practical coaching to help you continue together at home.
Our Programs Are Different by Design
Koru K9's Grants Pass board and train program takes place in the home of an experienced professional dog trainer. Your dog lives and learns alongside their trainer, with personalized training woven into daily routines, exercise, play and rest. Pick-up and drop-off are included; we confirm placement and arrangements before the stay.
We start by understanding the dog you love: what drives their behavior, what helps them feel safe and what motivates them. Trust, clear communication and consistent boundaries shape a custom plan around your dog's needs and your goals. We move at the speed of your dog, building understanding before increasing the challenge.
From training in a real home to practicing around everyday distractions, the goal is to connect learning to your life together. A walk near other dogs, a visitor arriving or a quiet evening at home may be the moment you most want to improve. Your Grants Pass routines help shape the plan, with household skills and outdoor practice introduced at a pace your dog can handle. Regular photo and video updates help you follow your dog's progress.
Your involvement is part of the program. A go-home lesson and follow-up coaching help you practice together and understand the cues, handling and routines your dog has learned. Phone and email support give you a place to turn with questions. We'll explain your program's included support and LunaDogAI access before enrollment.
Help with leash reactivity, aggression, anxiety, and everyday behavior

Time to feel safe. Space to learn. A thoughtful path toward a better life together.
1
A thoughtful start
We learn about your dog's history, routines and your goals together. Pick-up is included, and your trainer helps your dog settle into their home.
2
Trust before challenges
Time together helps us understand what motivates your dog and helps them feel secure. That relationship shapes their customized training plan.
3
Learning at your dog's pace
We teach foundation skills in low-distraction settings with rewards and clear guidance. We gradually add difficulty, distance and distractions as your dog's understanding and confidence grow.
4
Bring the progress home
Your trainer brings your dog home and coaches you through a go-home lesson. Consistent practice, follow-up coaching and LunaDogAI support help you bring the learning into everyday life.

Your dog lives in a professional trainer's home serving the Grants Pass area. Training is woven into daily routines, with exercise, play and rest. We discuss your dog's needs, trainer placement and pick-up arrangements before their stay.
Koru K9's two-week Puppy Board & Train starts at $2,900. Standard programs start at $3,900 for three weeks, $4,800 for four weeks and $6,800 for six weeks. The three-week refresher for returning clients starts at $3,300. We'll confirm your dog's suitability, trainer availability, what is included and the total cost before you book.
These are behaviors we work with, along with everyday manners. Suitability depends on your dog's history, needs and the care they require. Tell us about bite incidents, triggers, health concerns and previous training so we can discuss a safe, appropriate plan. No program can promise a cure or identical results for every dog.
Our balanced, relationship-based approach combines rewards with clear guidance and consistent boundaries. We learn what motivates your dog and explain the tools and handling in their plan. Depending on their needs, this may include leash guidance, prong collars or low-level e-collars. Owner coaching helps you understand how to continue safely at home.
Regular progress updates keep you connected to what your dog is learning. Your trainer explains their progress, and phone and email support give you a way to ask questions during and after the program.
Your trainer coaches you through the transition home. Go-home coaching, follow-up support, phone and email support, and 12 months of free LunaDogAI support help you continue the learning together. For Natalie and Lee's placements two to five hours from their home, the board and train package includes one follow-up session. We'll confirm your trainer, travel arrangements and the support included in your specific program before enrollment. Consistent practice at home is part of maintaining progress.
Pick-up and drop-off arrangements are part of your program planning. Share your address so we can confirm coverage and travel arrangements before booking. For longer journeys, a meeting point may need to be agreed with your trainer. Your dog's stay is in their trainer's home and may not take place in your own neighborhood.
Koru K9 offers a two-week Puppy Board & Train program for puppies from 16 weeks to under six months, starting at $2,900. It focuses on crate routines, potty training, early leash manners and confidence. Puppy placement depends on your address, program suitability and trainer availability; not every regional trainer or travel area supports the two-week puppy program. Contact our team to confirm a suitable placement before booking. For more than one dog, we'll discuss each dog's needs and available trainer capacity before recommending a plan.
