Ever since I was little I knew I would always be working with dogs, I grew up volunteering in shelters and worked as a veterinarian technician during and after college. Once I got my high drive Belgian Malinois, Church, I knew I had to get him into an activity that would fulfill his genetic needs. Together we became a certified explosive detection K9 team and have worked all over the country.
I have trained many law enforcement dogs and independent teams in obedience and detection work. I now live with my two working dogs, a Malinois and a Working line Cocker Spaniel, and a pet pit bull.
My favorite part about dog training is seeing an anxious dog come out of its shell and gain the confidence it needs to live a happy and fulfilled life with its family, as well as teaching the owners how to better communicate with their pet. In my free time, I enjoy exploring new places and going on hikes with my pups.

Your dog's safety is our top priority at Koru K9. During our Board & Train program, your dog lives in a safe, structured, and supervised home environment—not a kennel facility. This allows for 24/7 monitoring, individualized care, and secure containment when dogs are not actively training or supervised. Each dog is housed in a crate when unattended, which not only ensures safety but also supports structure and calm behavior. Our trainers follow strict safety protocols to prevent injury, stress, or accidents. Will my dog remember me after their board & train?+
