Jee-Hae & Deug-Min with Koru K9 were an incredible (brother/sister) team. I literally called Jee-Hae in tears seeking a last resort for our hot-mess of a rescue mix. He literally is every prey/high drive breed you can imagine. We have 4 kids and another rescue, so hoped he would fit in well with our busy life. Although he was great inside our home, he acted like a jerk on walks and we never felt totally comfortable, given his anxiety. He’s had 2 bite incidents, that left us with some hefty vet bills for the dogs involved. We knew if we didn’t try helping me, he’d be put down. We initially started working with Deug-Min with some in-home training to buy time until we could get Jimmy Chew going in their 6-Week Board & Train + Rehabilitation program. We gained some successful tools in the few in-home lessons, and once space was available for the board & train, we were all in. Jee-Hae did a great job walking us through what we could expect and gave us hope that he can exist in our family, with continued training & conditioning of what he learned while at “camp” aka B&T. He’s adapting well at home and he’s working hard for his rewards. We know he’ll always have to be a dog that needs to be “managed”, which Jee-Hae was very clear on, we are thrilled at the changes in his temperament, since he’s been in their care. Whether they like it or not, we consider them family, given how much time and love they gave to our Jimmy Chew, training him, as if he was their own. From start to finish, they were both so thorough in what he’s learned at each weekly check in, and in-person meet up for training. Regardless of your dogs “issues”, Koru K-9 helped us through some really sad & unsettling times. We are very grateful!
